About

Christina Hooper

I love people and have worked in the field of counselling since 1999. I am continually updating my training as required by my professional membership of the British Association for Counselling (BACP). I have volunteered with charities such as the Samaritans, Nottingham Alcohol Problems Advisory Service, Nottingham Agenda (domestic violence progamme), and Place2Be (children’s counselling in schools). I have also worked with adults and young people as a counsellor and paid worker, and with adults in private practice. My last social work position was with Macmillan Cancer Support, supporting people who have experienced the effects a serious illness can have on them and their families. I enjoy working with people face to face, and also offer sessions via the online Zoom Platform.

I have realised that in order to assist other people in their healing journey, I had to embody the living energetic principles of the work I offer. Hence to me there is no separation between my work and my private life, each day no matter what I am doing is focussed on supporting my body to remain healthy, strong and fit and to the best of my ability, to remain in constant connection with my innermost essence so that everything I offer is walked first and talked after.
